In overall, there is a considerable increase in the number of people passing their driving test through the years. It is also noticeable that women had a far higher rate of passing the test than men.
After a slight increase from roughly 48% to over 50% in 1990, the passing rate of women reached its highest point in 2000, at nearly 70%. The rate, however, minimally decreased to about 65% in 2010.
Turning to men figure, the proportion of men passing their driving test stood at well below 30%, which was nearly a half compared to women. And it gradually climbed to its peak, at nearly 50% in 2000, then remaining unchanged in the year 2010, which was approximately 15% lower than the figure for women group in that year.
