Essay topics:

The chart shows the proportion of working age adults in four countries from 1960 to 2050. Units are given in percentages.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

The given line graph depicts the percentage of the elderly in the workforce in four nations which include France, United States, Japan and Germany over a period of 90 years between 1960 and 2050.
In general, most of the working age proportions of adults in all four countries are on a downward trend and are pretty fluctuating. Nevertheless, only the US has kept the percentage from falling below the original level.
In 1960, a glance at the graph reveals that Germany stood at the first position, which accounted for more than 65%. This is followed by Japan with 65%, three-fifths and over 60% respectively for the US and France. The percentage of working age of adults tended to progress until 1990, which made for nearby 70% for both Germany and Japan and over two thirds for France and the USA.
However, all nations had a plummet. In 2010 all four countries were in the 60% range. The US reached 60% and moved steadily for a decade. It is predicted that the proportion of France and Germany also dipped to about 55%. Japan has become the country with the lowest proportion of elderly people of working age in four countries, which took up just a little more than half.
