This chart shows the top eight honeymoon destinations for newlywed British couples in 2010. The results come from a survey of 5,000 couples.

The bar chart shows information about the favorite honeymoon destinations which was surveyed 5,000 newlywed couples in Britain in 2010.

Overall, it is clear that the several Asian countries were the most popular places for honeymooners, such as Thailand and Bali. Another noticeable point is that most of the places chosen far less than were in Europe like Spain, Paris and the Lake district.

Looking at the details, Thailand was the number-one destination, with 1,410 couples choosing this for their honeymoon, making it slightly more popular than Bali, with 1,335 couples. Costa Rica was the third popular destination for honeymooners, at 750 couples spending their honeymoon there. Next, the Maldives was ranked fourth with 600 couples.

Regarding the other destinations, the Greek Islands came next, with 432 couples preferring to stay there. Just 209 and 140 newlywed couples who were asked said that they liked spending their honeymoon in Paris and Spain respectively. And the least popular honeymoon destination was the Lake district, with just only 124 couples choosing this.
