The given pie charts show the percentage of the energy consumed for different sources including oil, nuclear, hydrogen, coal, natural, and other renewable energy in a nation in the middle of 1985 and 2003.

According to the chart that, it is clear from that oil was the only energy leading in both years. Oil was consumed just over a half (52%) in 1985 but in 2003 it fell slightly to 39%. Hydrogen was remained stable in 1985 and 2003 at 4%. The least energy was used by other renewable sources. In 1985, they only used 1% where it jumped up minimally in 2003 to 4%.

The use of natural gas and coal showed an increase from 13% and 8% in 1985 to 23% and 13% in 2003. The nuclear energy showed decline from 22% to 17% over the given 18 years.

Overall, the greatest energy was produces from oil and the least from hydrogen and other renewable energy.
