The bar graph depicts the number of people in Europe were affected by four kinds of noise in urban areas and rural areas during day and night in the year 2007.
At the first glance, in urban areas people who are affected by noise is because of traffic during day time. However, in countryside also people got disturbed by traffic noise in day hours.
Looking at the information in more detail, in metropolitan areas as there is huge population and more and more cars on road there is the highest noise by traffic in day it is 64 millions and at night it gets less by 48 millions. Train produce almost same amount of noise in 24 hours is 10 millions in day and 8 millions at night. While, industry makes only 1 millions at day and quarter at night.
Moreover, farmland areas also build more noise by traffic at around 34 millions in day and 24 millions at night. Apart from that, train witnessed 8 millions at day and 2 millions less than day in night hours. Although, aircraft produce almost similar noise in both day and night at about 2 and 1 millions. But, in rural areas there is no industry so it does not produce any kind on noise.
