The two bar graphs illustrate the career paths of university and postgraduate students excluding full-time job after they left school in the UK in 2008. In general, both graduates and postgraduates mostly went for higher education and lots of them were unemployed notwithstanding, a mere of students worked as a volunteer.

To begin with, there were 29,665 university students enrolled in another program and it made this career option to be the most popular one. The second large number of student decided to work for a part-time job. Unfortunately, unemployed graduates were 16,235 people in 2008 and there were only 3,500 people who volunteered in a voluntary program.

In term of postgraduates’ career, the majority of postgraduates straightforward studied further after graduation from school but unlikely the graduates, most of them worked in a part-time job that accounted for 2,535 people. A bulk of students which were 1,625 people did not work in any job position and voluntary work was opted by 345 students.
