The diagram illustrates the life cycle of a product and how this process effect the environment.

Overall, product’s life cycle contains 7 step, beginning with planning and designing product, followed by production, delivery and culminating in recycling and start a new cycle. These steps may have many environmental issues.

To begin a cycle, product is planned and design. This step can be the most important step in the production process by supplying new product which meets the customer’s need. In the next stage, necessary material and energy resources used for production are estimated carefully. This calculating help not to waste any material or resources. Then, product is manufactured in factories, packaged and distributed to shops and markets. These steps may cause some negative effect to environment by emit carbon dioxide, harmful substances from producing. After that, product are sold to customer and used in life. Finally, customer give feedback to supplier to make improvement for product in the next production. Some old product are disposed while some are recycled and became material in second step in the next cycle.
