The diagrams explains, the process of producing electricity in hydroelectric power station.
Overall, as shown in the diagram, the process begins, when the water flows to high level reservoir from river and end with when power was supplied to national grid. Broadly, this process was distributed in two shift, day and night. In day shift, was flow towards the turbine to produce power and night in night shift, excess water was pumped back to high level reservoir.
In details, firstly in day shift, flowing water from river was reserved in high level reservoir by making huge dam, where, water flows as per the shifts, day and night. In day intake, water flows towards the reversible turbines and it makes the generator starts and power produced. While, excess water goes to the low reserve reservoir. Afterward, this power was supplied to the national grid through power line.
On other hand, in night shift, there is reverse flow of excess water through turbine to the high level reservoir and same process take place every day to produce electricity.
