The diagram illustrates how plastics are recycled. Clearly, there are 8 steps shown in the process of recycling plastics, commencing with the purchase of plastic items and ending with the delivery of recycled products to shops.
At the initial stage, consumers buy plastic products from stores and then use them before disposing of all these things. Next, plastic waste undergoes different treatment processes after being separated and categorized as bags, rubbish and bottles. Specifically, bags and trash are consigned to landfills, whereas plastic bottles are recycled in order to form new products.
The complex process of recycling plastics starts with discarded bottles being brought to a collection point. After that, these bottles are transported to a sorting area. At the next step, the sorted bottles are shipped to a waste reprocessing plant where they are recycled and converted into useful items. Finally, all the products are delivered back to retail outlets for sale, and the whole process begins anew.
