The diagram below shows the stages and equipment used in the cement-making process, and how cement is used to produce concrete for building purposes.
The diagram below indicating the main process of cement production that has four steps in the factory as well as how it can be used as one of the significant materials in concrete preparation for different applications in construction of the buildings and other civil infrastructures.
Overall, in the first stage limestone and clay crushed together by a robust crusher to form a powder. Afterward, the prepared powder passes through a path where a mixer consistently blends them. This stage is before third stage which the blended powder treated by an indirect heat at the end of the rotating heater pipe. Finally, to obtain a smooth product, a grinder with strong teeth is used . This is exactly the point the cement is ready to be packed into special bags for distributing in the market.
The second part of the diagram shows that how cement as a key substance applied in concrete preparation. Generally, this process is not complicated and it is just the combination of various materials to be fully uniform. While water (10%), cement (15%), sand (20 %), and gravel which is small stones (50%) poured into a mixer with a steady speed, the final product called concrete would be prepared to be sent to constructive sites.
