The diagram illustrates how aluminum drinks cans are recycled. The process consists of seven fundamental stages, starting with collecting used cans and finally finishing at new cans are produced and ready to sale again.
The first step is when used cans are collected at the collection centre and put in a recycle bin after being divided into two categories: aluminum and steel. Both these types of cans are then transmitted to the recycling facilities. The old cans are crashed and put together into big cubes.
In the next stage, the cubes of old aluminum are melted down at high temperature to turn into liquid form. Subsequently, new bars of aluminum are created, following by laminated into aluminum rolls. These intermediate products are used as the major material to manufacture new cans. The finished cans then filled with drinks and distributed to the vending machines for consumption. After that, the whole process is repeated again over the time.
