The diagram details the process of making leather products.
The chart illustrates the process of how leather products are being manufactured.
It is obvious that there are 11 distinct stages in this process, from collecting animal skin to the actual production of leather products.
In the early stages in the leather products manufacturing process, animal skin is being collected either from butchery, or directly from slaughterhouse, then animal skin is dried very well to get rid of any excess bacteria in it, after that it is transported by a truck to the factory. Stages four and five of the process both involve sanitizing and cleaning, where animal skin is washed in water and lime then soaked in lime, So the animal skin is cleaned and ready to be shaped.
Following this, this leather undergoes a flattering process, where it gets stretched, Next it’s soaked one more time, but this time in an organic solution called Tannin which consists of water and vegetable matter, Now the leather is soft and clean & ready to be polished. After that it is transported to another factory to be designed as any leather goods such as bags, shoes, jackets..etc.
