The given graph below illustrates the parts which a neuron is consisted of. Overall, it can be seen that a neuron has five main parts including, cell body, dendrites, axon, myelin sheath, and terminal buttons.

To begin with, a neuron consists of five components whicheach of them has a function. The first part is the cell body which is called soma. Aslo, the body has more than one end called dendrites that function as receiving messages from other cells. Axon, which is the longest part, is linked from one side with the cell body and the other side with terminal buttons. Axon is responible fod passing messages away from the cell body to the other neuron, muscles, or glands. This process is called action potential where the electrical signals travel down the axon.

Moreover, in some neurons, there is a myelin sheath that covers the axon and helps speed neutral impulses. The terminal buttons are the last part of a neuron's cell body that form junctions with other neurons' dendirtes.
