The diagrams illustrate the transformation of the West Park Secondary School since its inception in 1950 to 2010.
Overall, the houses and farmland have disappeared from the school premises over the years. Car parking, science block and sports field have replaced them.
First, from the school outlay in 1980 we can see that they have constructed a science block next to the school building and car parking being introduced to the left of science block. School redesigned the farmland into a sports field .
In 2010, they expanded the car parking, shrinking the sports field by a significant margin. Sports field now exists between car parking and playground. They altered play ground to create space for a sports field.
Finally, the diagrams reflect substantial metamorphosis of school, with a majority of land being allocated to car parking and school buildings. They limited play ground and sports field to one quarter of the space in 2010.
