The first chart below gives information about the money spent by British parents on their children’s sports between 2008 and 2014. The second chart shows the number of children who participated in three sports in Britain over the same time period.

The two charts illustrate the monthly average expenditure for children’s sports and the children’s participation for three different sports in UK from 2008 to 2014.
Overall, the spending on children’s sports has dramatically increased throughout the period. Number of children who had taken part in the three sports; football, Athletics and Swimming were risen their numbers throughout the time. Football was dominated compared to the other two sports from 2008 to 2014.
It is clear, UK parents were spent 20 pounds at the beginning of the period, the highest number of players, that was over 7.5 million players played football. In 2010 the expenditure on sports has come to 25 pounds whereas the players of football, athletics and swimming were 8, 2.5 and 1.5 millions respectively.
After 2010, Athletics overpass the number of children who engaged in swimming and came to the second place with 5 million students in 2012. The money spent for the sports were over 3 million in 2014 while the number of players of football, Athletics and swimming were 8, 5 and 3 millions respectively.
