After 10 years of growth, the kinds of entertainments the adults chose were almost the same, but the proportions of different entertainments significantly changed. Watching TV in both year 1985 and year 1995 was always the first choice for the grownups, while Other was the last one that the grownups preferred. In addition, the adults were attracted by a new activity-Playing computer games in spare time in 1995 and this new recreation jumped up to the second most popular hobby of the adults.
The percentage of the most popular entertainment (as mentioned above), is 32% and 30% respectively in 1985 and 1995. 23% of adults chose eating out in spare time in 1985, whereas the rate dramatically dropped to 8% over the ten years. Talking with family was the same as Eating out, the rate had a downward trend from 18% to 7%. In contrast, 21% of adults preferred talking with friends in 1985, but the rate went up to 26% in 1995.
Other remained at the lowest level in both 1985 and 1995, the percentage appeared 6% and 2 % respectively. Despite no choice of Playing Computer Games in 1985, there were 27% off adults loved playing computer games in 1995.
