The graph and table below show the average monthly temperatures and the average number of hours of sunshine per year in three major cities.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The graph indicates the temperature trend during the year in London, New York and Sydney.
The first thing we notice is the opposite behaviour of the average temperature in Sydney in relation to the other two cities.
In fact the temperature is about 25 degrees for the first three months of the year, while in London and New York the degrees are around 5 to 10.
In the spring time we can see an increment in New York and in London, touching the peaks at 30 degrees in New York and just under 24 degrees in London during the summer, before decreasing again from September to December.
In opposite to this trend, the temperature of Sydney begin to fall in April, reaching his trough in July. After that, it rise from just over 15 degrees to 25 degrees.
This trend can be explained looking the annual hours of sunshine for the three cities showed on the table below the graph.
We see that London has a fewer number of hours of sunshine than New York.
This factor could be the reason why London has lower temperatures during the summer.
While Sydney has brightened with almost the same number of hours of New York
