The Graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kindom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.

The provided line graph represents the amount of carbon dioxide emissions, measured in metric tonnes, of 4 different categories, over 40 years, from 1967 until 2007.

Overall, it can be evidently observed that the UK and Sweden nations experienced a downward tendency, whereas Italy and Portugal had an upward trend.

In 1967, the amount of CO2 emissions in the United Kingdom and Sweden accounted for above 10 and 8 metric tonnes, respectively. Followed by a decade, the former group continued to decline, while the latter one reached a peak, which was lower slightly than the UK. However, it commenced plummeting significantly, subsequently, in 2007, plunged by 6 metric tonnes. Between 1977 and 2007, the UK’s amount dropped, afterward, had a nadir, approximately 9 tonnes.

Besides, Italy’s data was higher, around 3 metric tonnes than Portugal’s carbon dioxide, in 1967. After increasing, during the next 30 years, Italy’s information culminated, almost 8 tonnes, furthermore, another group climbed somewhat. Henceforth, the amount of CO2 emissions in Italy stagnated, but Portugal’s trend had a moderate improvement.
