The line chart illustrates the travellers number by three means of transportation every day on average in UK over the period of 1970-2030.

Overall, it is obvious that since 1970, cars have been the most popular vehicle in UK compared to buses and trains then are predicted to remain the dominance until 2030. Besides, more people each year prefer using cars and trains and the trend is expected to be kept in the next 11 years.

Commencing at approximately 2 million passengers in 1970, the average quantity of people commuting by bus daily have fell gradually to just above 3 million passengers in 2019 and then will remain steady during the next 11-year timescale. The figure for bus was overtaken by this for train at about 3.5 million people in 2015.

Oppositely, there was a moderate improvement the everyday average number of passengers using trains by 1 million people in the first 30 years of the period before its steady remain in the next 10 years, then have been growing and will reach its peak of 5 million passengers in 2030. Similarly, the figure for car users grew at the same pace with train users from 5 million passengers to the all time high of 9 million passengers in 2030.
