Essay topics:

The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1974 and 2004.

The line graph supplied illustrates changes in the amount of four meat categories, namely fish, chicken, beef, and lamb, in a European nation over a period of 25 years.
Overall, the figure for the consumption of chicken witnessed a remarked increase over the period given, whilst that of beef, lamb, and fish declined during that period.
Amongst these foods, in 1979, beef was of the highest popularity, standing at almost 220 grams per person per week. In second place were chicken and lamb, with around 150 grams in the same year. the amount of fish, meanwhile, eaten per individual per week was approximately 50 grams at that year.
As can be seen from the chart, beef lost its prevalence markedly over a 25-year period, scaling down by around 100 grams over the period provided, reaching 120 grams in 2004. By the same token, there was a moderate fall in the consumption of lamb, dropping from 150 grams to above 50 grams. Much as the figure for fish stepped down, there was a much less significant decrease in it, compared to the others. This virtually levelled off around 50 grams in all years.
The amount of chicken used, on the other hand, hit the greatest number in 2004, amounting to 250 grams. By 1980, this had exceeded the consumption of lamb. Likewise, it took the head from beef in 1990.
