In 2013, the percentages of females who were working was 6.8%, 5.4% and 5.6% respectively in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, which, looking at 2014, present a downward trend but while the first two countries decreased their rates less than by 4 percent, Northern Ireland had a decline of 1.0%.
In sharp contrast, Scotland instead saw a growth of unemployment of female sex passing from 6.1% rate in 2013 to 6.7% rate by 2014.
