The line graph reveals information about the percentage of instructors including English language and French language educators who were hired in Ontario during the period from 2001 to 2007. Overall, it’s also worth noticing that the recruitment of English language teachers mainly growth while an opposite pattern was showed for the counterpart.
It can be clearly seen that the proportion of English language teachers who were employed witnessed a gradual fall to nearly 50% in 2002, from 70% in 2001 before recovering to 68% in the following year. Afterward, there was hardly any change in the percentage of the recruitment of English language instructors until 2006, followed by a slight growth by 6%.
In contrast, a sharp drop of 32% in 2001 was seen in the percent of educators teaching French from 72% in 2001 before rising slightly to 43% in the next two years. Subsequently, this figure went down continuously to hit a trough at 18% in the remaining period.
