The bar chart compares the employment rate of men and women workers in 1995 and 2005 between six countries around the world. And it has shown that the employment rates in Iceland and Switzerland were higher than other countries. Also, in all six countries, more men were employed than women both in 1995 and 2005. But the employment rates of women had improved from 1995 to 2005.
It is easy to witness an improvement in employment between 1995 and 2005. The biggest change was in the United Kingdom, from 55 percent of men in 1995 to 73 percent in 2005. Besides, the increases in employment rates for women were much higher in New Zealand, which reached at about 41% from 25%. Over 10% or higher increases were be seem in other countries in 10 years.
In Australia and New Zealand, they had lowest number of women be employed in 1995, although the number of it had increased until 2005, the rates of Australia still was the lowest among six countries.
