The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.

The line graphs compare three ways of requesting information from the Tourist Information Office in a city from January to June in the year of 2011.
It is noticeable that while telephone and direct enquiries rose significantly over 6 months, the number of people sending letters/emails to that agency suffered from a consistent drop.
In January, most of the enquiries were conducted by phone, with approximately 900 whereas under 800 people mailed the office and just over 400 people came for information. Over the next two months, there was an increase of about 400 individuals who personally asked for information. At the same time, the sum of phone calls after a fluctuation of 100 reached 1000. Contrarily, the number of mails sent slightly decreased then remained at 700.
A surge of enquirers was seen in April and continued until June, to peaks of 1600 and 1900 respectively for making calls and personal meeting at the agency. By contrast, there was a sharp drop in people writing to the Office at nearly over 300 from 700 to under 400 in May, which stayed unchanged in the final period.
