The line graph illustrates how many people spent their vacations in the Caribbean island over the course of 7 years from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, an upward trend was witnessed in the number of visitors who came to the island in total, while the proportion of clients staying on cruise ships as well as on-island fluctuated during the given period. Another interesting point is that the per cent of visitors staying on the island was not as high as that of people breaking on the island.
Looking at the graph for more details, it is obvious that the percentage of costumers staying on the ship and in total experienced a rapid rise in the year from 2010. Meanwhile, the figure for island stayers remained stable status during that time which was 0,75 million people. Two years after that, a relatively similar pattern was observed between 2013 and 2014, but with a roughly twofold number.
From 2015 to 2016, the number of participants in both options seemed to be level off before the steep rise to 3,5 million people in 2017. Over the same period, the number of visitors living on the island decreases sharply and hit the trough at around 1,25 millions clients, then this figure grew again to 2 million. Meanwhile, a reverse pattern can be seen from that of tourists spending their break in cruise ships, which saw a dramatical growth in the last 2 years of the given course.
