This graph demonstrates overseas visitors to a Caribbean island over period of 2010 to 2017, and tourists are categorized into two parts; staying on ship and on island.
To begin with, the accumulative curve, which is sum up of both visitors using ships and staying on island, shows steady increasing in numbers of tourists from 1 million in 2010 to 3.5 millions in 2017. Also, the curve for each category shows increasing over that period. However, the differences for two way of visiting are obvious and undeniable.
In 2010, tourists had more tendency toward staying on island around three-fold that of using cruise ships (0.75 compared to 0.25 in millions), whereas at the end of the time period it was almost reversed and visiting by cruise ships was more popular in 2017.
Ignoring the fluctuations in both curves of each category, it can be noted that visitors eagerness to using cruise ship was prevailing and maybe in the future it needs more attention and facilities to be provided.
