The graph below shows the production of three forest industry products in a European country, namely timber, pulp, and paper from 1980 to 2000.
The graph illustrates the production of three forest industry products in a European country, namely timber, pulp, and paper between 1980 and 2000. Overall, the paper, timber, and pulp products experienced an upward trend over the period.
In 1980 the paper and timber were nearly 4 million tonnes. The paper increased sharply throughout the period, exceeding timber and pulp in 2000 and reaching 12 million tonnes. In the meantime, the amount of timber production grew to 10 million tonnes in 1985 and then remained stable at 8 million tonnes. During 1990-2000, timber went down moderately in 1995 and declined slightly in 2000.
In 1980 pulp was the highest among these three forest industry products. However, it dramatically declined to under 2 million tonnes. Then there was a growth and the second in 2000. The paper was lowest in 1980, but the number of paper products was the highest at the end of the period.
