The presented line graph demonstrates the proportion of population aged 65 and above for three different countries. This report delve deeper into explaining every aspect of the graph.

A vast time-frame is being considered in the line graph ranging from 1940 to 2040. USA in 1940 had a low percentage of aged 65 over population compared to Japan and Sweden. The percentage further seemed to dive below in the years following 1940 with the stats placing it at 0-5% in 60s and 80s. The year 2000 showed an sudden resurgence in the USA percentage graph with percentage increasing exponentially and reaching almost 10% with the years after 2020. The years between 2020 and 2040 witnessed a sky rocketing increase in the USA percentage reaching as high as 25% and further increasing.

Japan and Sweden on the other hand seemed to be more or less following a similar pattern of linear increase with years ranging from 1940 to 1980. In the years succeeding 1980 the population graph for Japan became more or less stable with it hovering around the 15% margin. While Sweden still continued to see an linear increase in its population graph with it reaching as high as 20% between the years 2000 and 2020. Despite starting on a scale higher than that of Sweden, Japan fell behind over the years and still did not reach the 25% up till year 2040.

In conclusion, Japan and Sweden witnessed a steady increasing population aged above 65 between years 1940 to 2040,while USA inspite of languishing at the bottom in the earlier years boomed up exponentially in the years leading to 2040.
