The bar chart depicts, the ratio of various kind of drinkers and non drinkers based on different age categories in US population.
Overall, as shown in chart, US population was divided into four groups, heavy drinkers, light drinkers, ex-drinkers and non-drinkers, in which, the proportion of non drinkers are highest than others in all age groups.
In details, as provided information by bar chart, the ratio of heavy drinkers was the least compare to others three categories. The an insignificant portion (nearly 2%), of heavy drinkers lies on 65 to 74 age group, as the least ratio of heavy drinkers and around 7% was the maximum percentage of heavy drinkers, 45 to 54 aged people.
Regarding light drinkers and ex-drinkers, 25 to 34 age group contain the highest number of light drinkers, approximately 32%, while, the old aged people are the least light drinkers with roughly 5%. Comparisons to light drinkers, ex- drinkers are in lessen percentage in all age group except 65 to 74. People who left drinking habit due to various reasons are maximum found in over 65, with around 40%, while, least people quit drinking habit at the age of 25 to 44, accounted just 3% roughly. Besides this, non- drinkers contain almost more than 50% of US population except in 65 to 74 age group, hence, younger people are in significant ratio of non-drinkers with almost 60%, while, 34 to 44aged people are also in same proportion. However, 25 to 34, 45 to 54 and 55 to 64 age groups accounted above 50% of non-drinkers and the older citizen are least non- drinkers, around 42%
