The given line chart illustrates fruit production in 4 different countries including France, Spain, Germany and Turkey between 1970 and 2010. Overall, the general trend for Turkey and France was upward, while the opposite was true for Germany and Spain.
In 1970, Spain supplied around 5.5 million tonnes, whereas only 2.5 million tonnes of fruit were made in Germany. The amount of fruit produced in Spain reached its peak at over 6 million tonnes in 1980, before witnessed an annual decrease at just over 5 million in 2010. Germany's fruit production experienced a slight decrease from 1970 to 2010 to reach its lowest point at just over 1 million.
By contrast, both Turkey and France saw an increase in general. While the figure for Turkey slightly increase from around 2 million tonnes in 1970 to over 3.5 million in the end of 2010, the quantity of fruit made in France experienced a fluctuation between 1 and 2 million from 1970 to 2000, before increased rapidly to just under 3 million in 2010.
