Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
The three bar charts reveal the prevalence of various types of music in Britain among four age groups, as well as compare the gender balance of their corresponding supporters.
To begin with, it is clear from the information provided that males accounted for the major customers of each type. In fact, male buyers of rock music doubled that of their female counterparts, while the proportion of male and female in classical music were some 9% and 8% respectively.
Considering the distribution against age groups, rock music saw a downward trend with its lovers’ ages. In which, starting from a staggering 32% in group of 16 to 24, rock music registered a rather modest ratio of selling at 8% amount people who aged above 45. Likewise, there was also a remarkable decline in pop music, though first two groups manifested a practically identical popularity at 31%. By contrast, no notable trend was observed in classical music, whereby this type of music merely attracted less than a negligible 3% of music lovers in age group of 16 to 24 and 35 to 44.
Overall, pop music and rock music gained their popularity in junior age group, while classical music was persistently the least well-received one.
