The line graph illustrates the amount of 4 kinds of meat which were consumed in a European country for over 25 years from 1979 to 2004.
The consumption of chicken showed a significant rise over the period, while the amount of Beef and Lamb were consumed experienced a downward trend. Fish demanding remained steady after a small drop at the beginning of the period.
In 1975 the consumption of chicken was nearly 150 grams per person per week. It’s rate increased significantly and reaching almost 250 grams at the end of the period which was the highest among these four types of meat. In the meantime, the consumption of fish experienced a small declined of about 10 grams in the first year and then remained stable over the period. It also had the lowest rate at the end of the period.
In early 1979, the consumption of beef and lamp which were nearly 200 and 100 grams per person per week decreased substantially, although there was some fluctuation in these trends. The amount of beef started increasing in 1982 but it rose and fall for about 7 years then went down and reached 105 grams in 2004, while the amount of lamb consumption just experienced a decline compared to its first year.
