Essay topics:

The line graph shows the number of people who moved from four European countries to the United States of America.

The chart gives information regarding how many people migrated from four European countries to the USA, from 1867 to 1907.

Overall, in 1867 Irish emigrants were the majority, followed by Norwegian and Spanish, while Greek people were the minority. Furthermore, by 1907, Irish and Norwegian immigration fell, while Spanish and Greek immigration rose.

In 1867, Norway and Ireland accounted for four and eleven emigrants out of a hundred thousand of people respectively. By 1907, both Norwegian and Irish emigration decreased. However, the former decreased steadily from eleven emigrants out of a hundred people to just above eight, while the latter rose sharply in 1867 reaching a peak of 10 emigrants by 1877. However, by 1887 The number of Norwegian immigrants plunged to 6.5. Subsequently, this number declined again, but slightly and steadily to 5.5 in 1907.

Differently, Spain and Greek immigration increased quite dramatically over the period. In particular, Greek emigration had a fivefold increase, and the number of Spanish emigrants approximately doubled. Namely Greek immigrants rose from one emigrant in a hundred thousand people to just below six, and Spanish emigrants from four immigrants to eight.
