The following maps depict the central area of Islip town at present as well as after planned development. Overall, it’s clear from the model of the map, Islip town required the proper organisation of roads along with developments of housing, park, shopping centres, bus station etc.
According to the first map, it is easy to predict that the main road runs through its centre from east to west. Comparatively, the second map shows the planned pedestrian road and traffic of this road will be diverted at the outer side which is known as dual carriageway of the Islip town which will form a ring around the town centre.
Presently shops are seeing along either side of the main road. But in planned Islip town shops will be demolished to make way for a bus station, shopping centre, car park and new housing area. The south side of Islip town will have small shops to build more houses within the ring road.
