Two maps illustrate development projects of central area of Islip town.
It is clear that the most striking change is the addition of new dual carriage way road and a chain of facilities which regard to shops and housing will be accompany.
Looking at Islip town central now, we can see that the main road is placed between two lines of shops. In the second map, this road will be destroyed for the appearance of a new ring road around the central and traffic will be diverted on to a two carriageway.
Currently there is a row of shops along two side of the main road. According to this plan, these shops in the north side will be made into a bus station, shopping central, car park, new housing and a space for pedestrians only while other ones in the south will remain. Additionally, a new housing will be built near the park which will be reduced size in the future.
