The two maps depict the development of the village of Stokeford while first one is in 1930 and the second one is in 2010.
Overall, there were a lot of accommodations which were built; whereas the land for agriculture vanished.
In 1930, there were large areas for farm land in the East-North and the South-West of the village. In addition, the center of the village were gardens with several kinds of tree and there was only road which run across the middle of Stokeford. By 2010, the two areas for farmland were replaced by residential areas. People constructed more roads in the village to access to new housing areas in 2010. Besides, shops which had been next to Post Office in 1930 were also demolished to make way for houses.
Additionally, primary school which were opposite the Post Office became bigger with two other blocks erected. Similarly, large house near the center of the village was extended and converted into retirement home and trees in the gardens were devastated to give way for the home.
