A glance at the chart provided reveal the percentage of worldwide land degradation, while the table shows the proportion of causes of land deprived that measured by region (namely North America, Europe and the region in Ocenia) in 1990.
It is apparent that the first trend why land degradation occured because of clearing a land for over-grazing that contributed 35 per cent and the least contributor was other aspect. The other sectors that had responsible were clearing trees --deforastation and over-cultivation for farming purposes that both aspects placed second below animal ranch needs around 28 per cent and 30 per cent.
The percentage of deprived land also measured by region it took place that can be seen in the table provided. The region with the biggest land degraded was Europe with 23 per cent overall respectively with the higher in deforestation, 7.7 over-cultivation, amd 5.5 over-grazing. The second region was Oceania with 13 per cent and North America was the lowest level around 5 per cent.
To sum up, not suprisingly, over-grazing was the biggest contributor of causes of low-level land while Oceania took the first place because of it.
