The pie charts below show the comparison of different kinds of energy production of France in two years.

The pie charts give information about the percentage of five different source of energy production in France in two different time period 1995 and 2005. Overall it is seen that over half of the energy were being generated from gas and coal in both years.
Both coal and gas had almost equal contribution in power sector 29.80% and 29.63% respectively in 1995 and in 2005 the figure for coal and gas were 30.93% and 30.31%. Coal and gas consumption for energy production changed marginally (1%) in 2005 compare to 1995. However use of fossil fuel dipped in 2015 by 10% from 29.27% to 19.55%.
A surge of atomic energy was seen in 2005 for energy production. In 1995, the contribution of nuclear energy to national power grid of France was only 6.40% whereas in 2005 it increased by roughly 4% reached 10.10%.
Similarly, other source of energy accounted for less than 5% energy production in 1995. This figure rose to 10.10% in 2005 which was a significant change.
