The pie charts depict how many units of electricity were generated in Australia and France with the help of five sources of fuel in 1980 and 2000.
Overall, between these years, electricity generation in Australia and France had risen. Amongst them, coal was the most preferred in both the years for the former country, whereas nuclear power became the predominant source in the latter one.
First of all, in Australia a total of 100 units of electricity produced in 1980. In that half of units of electricity was generated by coal, while one-fifth of total units were produced by hydropower and natural gas for each. It's half of the electricity generated through oil(10 units). After two decades, 170 units of electricity generated, where the majority of electricity was produced by coal, 130 units. Moreover, 36 units were produced by hydropower but natural gas and oil sources had noticed a negligible unit.
Secondly, France had a total of 90 units of electricity in 1980. 25 units of electricity were produced by coal and natural gas for each. The sources were oil and nuclear power generated 20 and 15 units of electricity respectively. In 2000,180 units of total electricity produced. In which a quarter of the electricity was generated by coal and oil. However, by natural and hydropower, only 2 units of electricity produced.
