The given pie charts illustrate the percentage of generated electric power in Germany and France from all kinds of resources and renewables in 2009.
As it is shown on both pie charts, all sources' (that consisted of conventional thermal, nuclear and renewables) percent indicators were noticeably different for both countries, as well as the amount of electric energy: for Germany-560 billion kWh, for France-510 billion kWh. Similarly, parts of renewables showed various statistics as well.
According to the pie chart that describes Germany's electropower, conventional thermal took the biggest place, indicating 59,6% of all resources.Nuclear and renewables came at second and third place, showing 23,0 and 17,4% respectively. Renewables themselves were divided into 5 parts accordingly: biomass -39,3%, wind-36,9%, hydroelectric-17,7%, solar-6,1% and geothermal-0,0%.
It is apparent from the second pie chart, related to France, that, in contrast with Germany, nuclear was the greatest source with 76%. Renewables and and conventional thermal followed successively, pointing 13,7 and 10,3% relatively. The consistence of renewables of France noticeably contrasted Germany's. To illustrate that, hydroelectric occupied the hugest space hitting the point of 80,5%, in comparison with biomass(8,1%), wind(10,5%), solar(0,9%) and geothermal(0,0%).
