The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
The maps show the current plan of a university’s sports center and the proposed design of the building in the future.
Overall, the center will witness some significant changes. The most striking developments are the conversion of the two outdoor courts and the introduction of more sports facilities.
Looking at the present layout, this sports center has three separate areas which are a large building in the middle and the two outdoor courts to the west and east. Opposite the entrance located a reception, which leads to the seating area on the right and the changing room on the left. There is a gym to the north of the 25-meter pool, which is behind the reception.
Regarding the projected map, the three areas will be merged into one. The outdoor courts in the west of the center are planned to be converted into a leisure pool. Meanwhile, a big sports hall and two dance studios are proposed to be built on the site of the other outdoor courts in the east. There will be two additional changing rooms, a sports shop and a café on either side of the main entrance. The gym is planned to be expanded to the east, while the remaining features are likely to stay unchanged.
