The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today

The pictures compare how different a park has changed from the opening day to the current day.
Overall, the park has changed dramatically since the beginning by building more utility facilities. Especially, the space is extended with the underground car park, however, the size in surface is unchanged over this period.
It is clear that there are still two entrances, one on Eldon street and the other is located at Arnold avenue. Next to the Eldon street gate used to be a glass house, now it is replaced by a water feature. On the opposite side, the pond was demolished to make way for a children play area with a cafe nearby.
One of the notable changes is a beautiful fountain in the center is now where a rose garden located with four sides are arranged with seats for visitors. The seats used to placed around the park but now they are installed only in the middle. On the left side, a small stage for musicians is upgraded to a huge amphitheatre which can contain a numerous audience and hold in concerts.
