The presented maps illustrate how Grange Park, which is located between Arnold Avenue and Eldon Street, has changed since 1920 when it was opened for visitors.
Overall, the basic structure of the park remained the same with a few changes. Few things were relocated and some new features were introduced.
In 1920, the park had a stage for musicians on the west side which is replaced by an amphitheatre for concerts. The fountain located at the centre of park is replaced by a rose garden. There were three rose gardens and five seats across the park in 1920. But today only rose garden on the north west corner and one at middle are present. All the seats located in the middle of park in the current layout around the new rose garden.
The glasshouse on the south east side of the park has been replaced by a water feature. The children's play area and a cafe has been introduced in place of pond for water plants and rose garden on the north east. The two entrances to the park remain the same with addition of a new entrance for underground car park.
