Essay topics:

The process below shows the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.

The diagram illustrates the life cycle of salmon. Overall, there are 3 main stages of fish development: ‘fry’, ‘smolt’ and finally ‘adult salmon’. Also there are 2 residences for their age period.

To begin with, ‘adult salmon’ is seeding salmon egg in order to start new generation of fish. Then ‘fries’ are hatched. The primary size of them is fluctuating between 3 and 8 centimeters, during the next 4 years they are growing in the lower river with fast flowing. On the morrow of that, they are moving to open sea. This stage of salmon is called ‘smolt’ (minimal length of that is 12 centimeters and maximal is 15 centimeters). By the next 5 years they grow up and reach the last stage ‘adult salmon’. In this period they can put off eggs in upper river with slow-moving (under the reeds, among small stones). The hatching period occupies 5-6 months.
As long as, the salmon life cycle still maintains, new generation will always be born and grow like the diagram.
