In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people.
Why might this be the case?
Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?
Recently, the phenomenon of owning or renting a house and its corresponding impacts have sparked a massive dispute. In this regard, loads of people in specific countries are interested in buying a house rather than renting one. In my view, various causes such as financial and psychological reasons lead to prefer owning a house.
Obviously, a remarkable number of countries, particularly developing ones, suffer an inflationary economy. Prices of products, like cars and houses, climb remarkably every year. Consequently, in such ill economies, people prefer to purchase houses even a small one. In addition, they have the opportunity to get ride of ever-increasing rents due to owning a home. Meanwhile, house in such countries as Iran and Turkey was considered as a capital and precious commodity.
Moreover, psychological matters contribute to buy houses instead of renting them. Unlike individuals who own their homes, loads of people must move due to their contracts’ expiration. As they live in an area, they might make numerous friends or establish good relationships with their neighbors. Abandonment of an intimate atmosphere which people construct through living in a rented house, eventually ends up several, at least minor, psychological issues, for instance, depression because of the lack of self-esteem in their new rented house in different districts.
On the other hand, we shouldn’t lose sight of miscellaneous benefits of renting houses. Numerous people don’t need to consider about distinctive problems that landlords might struggle with them. Paying tax of houses or dealing with different humans whom refer them to rent their houses are a few examples of house owners’ headaches.
To sum up, despite compelling arguments on buying or renting a house, I am inclined to believe that the ability to acquire a house and being a landlord are a positive situation, not just in financial aspects, but also in terms of psychology. To me, I can’t even think about the fact that at the end of each year, you have to pack your all life up and settle in a new strange house. “Home sweet home” is the best adage.
