The table below describes the number of employees and factories in England and Wales from 1851 to 1901.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The chart illustrates how many employees and factories were there in England and Wales between 1861 and 1901.
Overall, it is noticeable that while the number of workers, include both sexes, decreased significantly after 40 years, it of factories rose nearly 3 times as many as it used to in the initial year despite the fact that the quantity of working places declined since 1881. Furthermore, although the number of male employees were doubled compared to it of female employees in 1861, in 1901, the ratio between male and female in working places was nearly 1:1.
As can be seen obviously, the total workers in factories in 1901 were about 7 times fewer than those were in 1861, 61000 compared to 477100. For most of the year, the number of male working staffs, which contributed the majority of the total, were higher than it of female working, except in 1861, when the situation reversed. In this year, female employees were 160000 opposed to 131780 of male ones.
Conversely, the number of factories being built increased triple in the 40 years. At first, there were 225 working places for employees, and after opening 2 more companies 10 years later, the quantity of factories were at a peak at 622 places in 1971 and 721 in 10 more years. There was a decline later in the number of factories since it was just 600 places after closing more than 100 companies in the previous of 20 years.
