The given table illustrates comparative information regarding the underground railway system among the different 6 cities.
Overall, it is clear that London has the oldest railway system, vice versa the newest one belongs to Los Angeles.In addition, the highest capacity of subway was observed in Tokyo.
Looking at the details, London's railway system was opened in 1963 and Paris is the second oldest. It was opened in the year 1900. This was then followed by the opening of the railway systems in Tokyo, Washington DC and Kyoto. Los Angeles has the newest subway system, as far as it was opened only in the year 2001. Moreover, London was considered the longest one among the other cities, having 394 rm respectively and it was two times more than in Paris. However, Paris was a second city regarding the capacity passengers per year, reaching 1191.
Tokyo’s railway system has 199km of route, it is fourteen times longer than Kyoto’s subway, consequently with lowest capacity only 45 passengers per year. Washington DC has just over tenfold longer subway than Los Angeles, 126 respectively. Also, there are 144 passengers per year, while Los Angeles’s underground railway system has only 50.
