Looking from an overall perspective, it is clear that the biggest change in the amount of processed food eaten will be salad, and a small rise will be experienced by fried rice and noodles.
In the first reported year, 5 units of salad were consumed in Melbourne, tripled in the present day, and will increase to more than 8 times higher in 2025. In contrast, both fried rice and noodles figures show small changes in the period. Similar to that of fried rice, the number of noodle units eaten in 2005 was 6, and the figure for fried rice and noodles in the present day then incline to 9 and 8 units respectively. Finally, in 2025, the figure for these kinds of fast food will be 9 units each.
Hamburger was the largest amount of fast-food consumed the first reported year, then it decreased by 2 units and in 2025, and it is predicted that the figure will rise to 51 units. In 2005, the number of fried chickens consumed was 35 units, increasing to 37 in the present day and the number will be 45 units in 2025.
