The table shows oil production in Africa countries from 2000 to 2004 ( unit: barrels)
The table reveals statistics about the amount of oil generated in Nigeria, Chad, Congo, and Somalia between 2000 and 2004.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is evident that with the exception of Congo, which saw a downward trend, the oil production of all mentioned countries witnessed a generally upward trajectory. Moreover, Nigeria is the nation that produced the highest quantities during the period.
Nigeria and Chad accounted for the maximum and minimum oil generation, respectively. The former started at 200000 barrels, then increased sharply to 278000 barrels in 2004. The latter produced no oil in the first three years but reporting approximately a fourfold rise from 50000 to 220000 barrels in two years later, making it become the second biggest manufacturer in the end.
Congo and Somalia ranked second and third at the beginning, at 2000 and 9000 barrels, correspondingly. Subsequently, after hitting its lowest point of 8000 barrels in 2001, the figure for Somalia climbed steadily by 7000 barrels in the final year. Congo, in contrast, underwent a gradual drop from 2000 to 1500 barrels over the entire period surveyed.
