As far as the charts, the sales of coffee in the UK dominated over the rest, while the first rank about the buy of Fairtrade labelled bananas belonged to Switzerland.
For the sales of coffee, the year 2004 witnessed a dramatic growth from 1.5 to 2004 (million euros) in the UK, whereas this figure of Sweden progressed slowly, just at 1 compared to 0.8 (million euros) in 1999. In Switzerland, sales increase twofold and reached 6 (million euros) in 2004. Finally, there was a slight rise in Denmark and Belgium, with 1.8-2 and 1-1.7 (million euros) respectively.
In regard to bananas, the sales in Switzerland rocketed to 47 (million euros) across five years, while in the UK and Belgium sales only grew from 1-5.5 and from 0.6-4 (million euros).
